HISTORY OF
Our Business
We founded Villa Andina in 2007 with the aim of developing prime-quality natural and organic food products that make a real contribution to optimising the human diet. We created a business model that involves working with the wide biodiversity of raw materials available in Peru, and that contributes to improving the living conditions of rural communities. This allows us to cooperate with all the actors involved in the value chain.
Since 2007 we’ve been exporting goldenberries to the international market. The positive reception inspired us to establish our operations in northern Peru, the heartland of goldenberry cultivation. Being based near the fields allowed us to build close relationships with local farmers and recognize the potential of other native crops such as quinoa, cacao, yacón and maca. We soon diversified our product range with these raw materials and the ingredients derived from them. This hands‑on experience continues to connect our farmers directly with consumers.
